Hay Fever

An allergic disease which includes the inflammation of the nasal passages’ lining is called the Hay Fever disease. In the medical terms, the disease is known as allergic rhinitis. This term includes two conditions: perennial allergic rhinitis and seasonal allergic rhinitis. Seasonal allergic rhinitis is referred to as the disease which is commonly occurred among people who claim that they have hay fever. This condition is aggravated by seasonal irritants such as the pollens. But, a large amount of overlap is there amongst the perennial, seasonal or all the year round allergic rhinitis. The major symptoms of both the conditions of allergic rhinitis include:

  • Itching
  • Sneezing
  • Congestion in the nasal passages

The inflammation of this kind is due to the allergens which are the foreign objects that get into the body via mouth, nose and throat.

There is an over active immune system of the people who suffer from the problem of hay fever. Particularly the level of antibodies in them is elevated. It is due to this that hay fever is lined with eczema, asthma and sinusitis because all of these have the same underlying cause. When allergens like pollen and dust get into the body, the body produces antibodies which lead to the production of a chemical known as histamine. This further leads to swelling, itching and the production of mucous in the nose lining and in the nasal membranes which lead to a condition like cold. Some of the common symptoms of hay fever are:

  • Running nose having watery fluid or blocked nose
  • Sneezing episodes
  • Sore throat
  • Red, watery or puffy eyes
  • Sinus pain
  • Husky voice
  • Itchy cough

Similar to the nasal conditions, the symptoms for allergic rhinitis include the sinusitis and nasal polyps. Due to this fact, it is essential to visit a doctor for the confirmation whether you are suffering from hay fever or some other disease. As mentioned previously, the disease of hay fever can be throughout the year or it can be seasonal. This depends on the kind of allergies to which the people are sensitive. The major causes for seasonal allergic rhinitis are:

  • Grass
  • Pollen

The major causes for the hay fever all year round are:

  • Fungi
  • Dust mites
  • Mould spores
  • Cockroach droppings

As per the treatment of hay fever, the medications which are prescribed the most include the antihistamines, corticosteroid nasal sprays and decongestants. The corticosteroids aid in reducing the itching, inflammation and the runny nose. The antihistamines control the sneezing, itching and runny nose but they make people drowsy. The decongestants make the nasal passages free.

There are certain remedies for this disease which can be done at home. These include avoiding such things which trigger allergies in your body. Sometime this thing is difficult to identify. Secondly, one can wash his nose with saline which will help prevent inflammation in the nasal lining. This will also help in washing the mucous and debris from the nose.

Gout is one of the types of arthritis. There are a number of causes for this disease. These include:

  • Stiffness
  • Swelling in joint
  • Attack of sudden burning pain
  • Big toe

Such attacks can take place repeatedly unless the disease has been cured completely. Over the period of time there is a danger caused to the tendons, joints and various other tissues. Gout is more common in men than in women.

The major cause for the disease is a lot of uric acid in the blood. Majority of the times, a lot of amount of uric acid is not dangerous. A number of people having high level of uric acid in their blood do not get gout ever. However, if the amount of uric acid in the blood exceeds the level, the uric acid develops hard crystals in the joints. If you drink a lot of alcohol, are overweight, eat a lot of fish and meat which have high levels of chemicals known as purines, then you are more likely to get this disease. Also, certain medicines like the water pills lead to the disease of gout too.

The major signs of the disease are:

  • Tenderness
  • Nightmare attack of swelling
  • Redness
  • A lot of pain in big toe

Gout attacks can also occur in your knees, ankle or foot as well. Such attacks can stay for a few days or they can take weeks after which the pain ends. The second attack takes place after months or years. The doctor has to be visited even if the pain for the gout has ended. There is still a danger to your joints from the buildup uric acid which caused the gout attack.

The disease is diagnosed through a serious a questions about the symptoms and a physical exam by the doctor. The examination of the uric acid crystals can also be done by the doctor by taking a sample of fluid from your joint. The best test to diagnose gout is this one. In order to measure the amount of uric acid in your blood, a blood test can also be run by the doctor.

A shot of corticosteroids is given by the doctor in order to stop the attack of gout. The doctor may also give a huge regular dose of one or more than one medicines. As soon as the symptoms begin to disappear, the doses will lessen. If the treatment is started at the right time, it will take 24 hours to begin getting relief from the attack of gout. Giving rest to the joint which hurts will aid in easing the pain caused by the attack of gout. Other medications which will aid in feeling better include the ibuprofen or various other anti-inflammatory medicines. However, aspirin should be avoided in this regard. This is because; it increases the level of uric acid in the blood, thus making the gout worse.

Western Working Ladies Vs Idol Asian women

we see almost every western woman is a working lady. thats totally fine. But what comes to your mind when you hear something about an Asian house wife..? ummm they sit all day on their asses and dont do anything at all..!! May be their husbands are so strict and they dont let them go out in the society..!! or May be its their religious and cultural problem and they cant be working ladies at all…!!! Thats what almost every one of you would think about an Asian House wife… But Oh, hello, Hang on, Just a second…

What are the meanings of a working lady near you? just stop reading ahead, take a pause and think for few moments. what is the definition of a working lady…??? anyone who works from 9am to 5 pm is regarded as a working lady, or any one who works from 5 to 8 hours daily and she get paid for that, is tagged as a working lady. thats western definition. I am totally fine with that. Now lets move to Asia and see another definition of a working lady which we dont even consider as a working lady….

most of the women in Asia are house wives. But the concept of being a house wife in Asia is totally different than that of being so in Europe, Australia or America. A house wife in Asia is usually a mother of 3-4 kids on an average, although there are many who are mothers of 6-8 kids. this is not a joke to have 8 kids. Mums will know that…!!  Secondly they usually live in joint families. where they have to cook for their kids, husband, parents in laws, brothers and sisters in laws etc etc. so you can imgine their “Job Description”…

A house wife in Asian country sides helps her husband in agriculture as well. The women take part in harvesting crops, cutting grass, milking their cows, picking vegatables from the fields etc etc. this is not all, can you imagine walking off a street in 45 C or 50 C ? Women In Asia help cutting wheat crops in the month f May when the temperature is about 40-45C and they spend whole day in the sun and then return home not to sleep in the air conditioned room, but to prepare the dinner for the whole family. And then they may give some special time, love and romance to their husbands in the night, when every one else of the family is asleep on daily basis….Oh yeah on daily basis, I said so, by looking at the rate of increase in population….

Now there are some more people who say that these Asian women do not get their rights properly, they are not paid for these jobs. What happens in Western countries, husband and wife both pay for all the expenses all together, but in Asia women can not even imagina that they will be asked to pay half bills of each and every thing. This is the sole responsibility of the husband to spend on the family. Women do take part in day to day tasks but they then enjoy the total income of their husbands. this is a common trend in the Asian countries that husband will come home with the salary and give it to his mother, if she is living with them , if not, the total salary will go to the wife. Then she will manage the whole budget of the house and even she will be giving pocket money to the husband on daily basis. This may look seriously strange to many of you, but thats how it is..!!

So you can imagine that the idol women of Asia are infact hard working ladies. The natur of their job is entirely different than that of women in western countries and they may not be paid on hourly basis. But, they do get reward which is based on the ground realities and is very authoritative as well.
